What is a Workspace

A workspace in Base44 is your main hub for creating, organizing, and managing all your apps, data, and team members. Workspace Pn It includes:
  • The apps you’ve built or are building
  • Your team members with assigned roles and permissions
  • Workspace settings such as name and access control

Creating a Workspace

Create Workspace Pn
  1. Log in to your Base44 account.
  2. Click your Profile icon on the top bar.
  3. From the dropdown menu, click Create a workspace.
  4. Enter a name for your workspace.
  5. Click Create workspace.

What happens next:

  • You become the workspace owner with full management permissions.
  • You can invite members and manage seats.
  • You’ll land on your Workspace Dashboard to get started.

Renaming your workspace

Rename Workspace Pn
  1. Click your Profile icon in the top bar.
  2. In the dropdown menu, find your workspace and click Manage.
  3. Click your Profile icon again and choose Settings.
  4. Under Workspace name, enter the new name.
  5. (Optional) Update the Workspace description.
  6. Click Save Changes.

Inviting members

You can invite members individually or in bulk.

Invite an individual

  1. From your workspace dropdown, click Manage.
  2. On the Workspace Dashboard, select Invite User.
  3. Enter their email address, choose a role, and click Send Invite.

Bulk invite

  1. Prepare a CSV with the following columns:
    • email (required)
    • role (optional)
    • seat (optional)
  2. From your workspace dashboard, choose Bulk Invite.
  3. Drag & drop your CSV or click Choose file.
  4. Click Send Invitations (this will trigger an email invitation).

Roles:

  • Owner – Full control, including billing, settings, and member management.
  • Admin – Manage workspace settings, billing, members, and apps.
  • Member – Access and edit only assigned apps.

Invitation notes:

  • Invitation links expire after 60 days.
  • Invitees must click Accept Invitation (or use the link provided), then sign in or create a Base44 account.

Assigning or changing roles

  1. From the workspace dropdown, click Manage.
  2. Scroll to the Members section.
  3. Find the member you want to edit.
  4. Click their current role and choose Owner, Admin, or Member.
  5. To remove a member, select Remove Member from the same menu.

Workspace billing & plans

Purchasing seats

To give someone admin access to an app, they must have a plan assigned.
  1. From your workspace dropdown, click Manage.
  2. On the Workspace Dashboard, click Buy your first seats or Buy More Seats.
  3. In the Purchase Seats window:
    • Select the plan (Starter, Builder, Pro, Elite).
    • Enter the number of seats you need.
    • Review the monthly cost.
  4. Click Purchase Seats.
  5. Complete payment in Stripe Checkout.
Seats will be added to your workspace automatically.

Managing plans

  • View plans and usage from the Plans or Billing section.
  • Purchase more plans as needed.
  • Moving a plan to a new member mid-cycle carries over their current usage. There’s no partial reset.
  • Your seat usage and availability are shown at the top of the Members section.
