Choosing a plan

As you build and grow your app, it’s important to choose the right plan to accommodate your needs. The available plans have different features, read below to learn more about each plan.

Purchasing a plan

Purchase a Base44 plan directly from your workspace.
Have a promo code? You need to apply it directly from Billing before completing your plan purchase or upgrade.
To purchase a plan:
  1. Click your profile icon at the top right of your workspace.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click Subscribe on the plan that’s right for you.
  4. Select your preferred billing cycle:
    • Yearly: Save with an annual discount and extra benefits.
    • Monthly: Pay month to month.
  5. Click Continue to Checkout.

Upgrading an existing plan

You can adjust your subscription as your needs change. Your plan’s features and usage limits update right away, and billing is automatically adjusted.
Upgrades take effect immediately. You pay a prorated amount for the rest of your current billing cycle.
To upgrade an existing plan:
  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click Upgrade on the plan you’d like to upgrade to.
  4. Select your preferred billing cycle:
    • Yearly: Save with an annual discount and extra benefits.
    • Monthly: Pay month to month.
  5. Click Confirm Subscription Upgrade.

Managing your billing and payments

Manage your Base44 payment details, update your billing cycle, download invoices, cancel your subscription, and more.

Switching from a monthly to a yearly plan

Upgrade to a yearly plan anytime and save with annual pricing. Your new billing cycle starts immediately.
When you upgrade from a monthly to a yearly plan, you are not charged twice for the same period. The amount you already paid for the current month is credited and deducted from your yearly plan cost, so you only pay the difference needed to cover the rest of the year. There is no separate refund.
To switch from a monthly to a yearly plan:
  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click Manage Payments under your current plan.
  4. Click Upgrade to Yearly. Manage Subscription Pn
  5. Review the yearly plan pricing, benefits, and prorated charge.
  6. Click Confirm Upgrade.
Note: If you want to change both your plan tier and billing cycle (for example, from Starter monthly to Pro yearly), you need to first upgrade your plan tier, and then switch to yearly billing.

Viewing and downloading invoices

View your billing history and download your invoices to keep records of your payments.
Note: Only workspace owners can access invoices.
  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click Manage Payments under your plan. Managepayments Pn Tip: If you are on a monthly plan, click Manage Payments again.
  4. Select the payment under Invoice History.
  5. Click Download invoice to save a copy.

Updating your billing information

You can update your billing information on any paid plan.
  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click Manage Payments under your plan. Managepayments Pn Tip: If you are on a monthly plan, click Manage Payments again.
  4. Click Update information under Billing Information.
  5. Make your changes and review for accuracy.
  6. Click Save.

Canceling your subscription

You can cancel your subscription anytime. You’ll have complete access until the end of your billing period.
Note: Canceling a subscription stops future renewals, but it does not issue a refund for the current subscription period.
  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click Manage Payments under your plan. Managepayments Pn Tip: If you are on a monthly plan, click Manage Payments again.
  4. Click Cancel subscription.
  5. Click Cancel subscription again to confirm.
Tip: If you change your mind, you can click Don’t cancel subscription until the end of the billing period.

Purchasing seats in your workspace

Purchase and assign seats to make sure your team has the right access to work in your workspace.
  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click the workspace you’d like to add seats to.
  3. Click your profile icon again.
  4. Hover over the workspace and click the Settings icon.
  5. Click Buy your first seats or Buy More Seats.
  6. Choose a plan (Starter, Builder, Pro, or Elite).
  7. Enter the number of seats you need, then click Purchase Seats.

Purchased seats are immediately added to your workspace.

Check that your card details are correct, the card is not expired, and you have sufficient funds. If your payment still does not go through or your plan is marked Past Due, update your payment information in the Billing dashboard. If the issue continues, try a different card or contact your bank for assistance.
If you have a coupon code, make sure to apply it before upgrading, changing, or renewing your plan.To apply a coupon code:
  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click Have a coupon code?

The discount appears in your billing summary if the code is valid
No. You can’t pause a subscription.
Yes, you can downgrade your plan anytime. The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.To downgrade your plan:
  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click Downgrade on the lower-tiered plan you’d like to switch to.
  4. Click Confirm Downgrade.
Your workspace will downgrade to the free plan, which limits features and capabilities. You won’t be charged at your next renewal date.

To claim your free 1-year domain:
  1. Click Dashboard in your app editor.
  2. Click Domains.
  3. Click Buy Domain.
  4. Search for your desired domain.
  5. Look for the option marked as your free domain in the search results.
  6. Select this domain to claim and connect it directly to your app.
The Builder, Pro, and Elite plans give you a free domain for one year. You have to have a yearly plan to get the free domain, it is not available on the monthly plan.
Invoices automatically reflect the billing information you have set in your account. If you need to update your details, such as company name or VAT number, you can do this in the Manage Payments section.
  1. Click your profile icon at the top-right of your Base44 account.
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Click Manage Payments under your plan.
It is not possible to update invoices retroactively, but you can update your billing details now to make sure future receipts are correct.
