Managing workspace security with Security Center

Security Center gives workspace owners and admins one place to review security across workspace apps. Identify apps that need attention, check scan status and findings, and manage apps from a single dashboard.

Reviewing workspace security

Open Security Center from your workspace settings to review summary information and detailed security data for the apps in your workspace. To open Security Center:

1. Click your workspace name at the bottom left.
2. Click Settings.
3. Under Security & Control, click Security Center.

The summary tiles show:

• Total workspace apps
• Apps at critical or high risk
• Apps not scanned

The app inventory helps you review each app’s:

• Risk level and severity breakdown
• Scan status and latest scan timing
• Owner
• Visibility
• Publish status
• Security areas scanned

Security scans identify data permission risks, exposed secret risks, backend function risks, app dependency risks, code risks, and security header risks. If you connect a Wiz tenant, Wiz risks appear here too. To review detailed findings or apply fixes, open the app’s Security page.

Finding apps that need attention

Use search, filters, sorting, and columns to narrow the inventory to the apps that need review. You can:

• Search by app name, owner name, or owner email.
• Filter by Risk level, Risk categories, Scan state, Visibility, Publish status, Active users (30d), Has SSO, or Has publish request.
• Sort by App name, Publish status, Risks found, Last scan, Last active, or Has publish request.
• Use Customize to show, hide, or reorder columns.

Managing apps from Security Center

Use the app inventory to scan apps, open detailed findings, preview apps, transfer ownership, unpublish apps, or export the inventory. From each app row, you can:

• Click the app name to open the app’s workspace overview.
• Click Scan to run a new security scan.
• Open More actions to select View security, Go to app preview, or Transfer ownership. For published apps, you can also select Unpublish.

Scanning apps

Run a scan when an app has never been scanned, when its results may be outdated, or when you need fresh findings before reviewing it. To scan one app:

1. Find the relevant app.
2. Click Scan on its row.

To scan apps in bulk:

1. Select the apps you want to scan, or click Select all apps.
2. Click Run scan.

While a scan is running, its status updates in the inventory. Findings appear when the scan finishes.

Transferring app ownership

Transfer an app to another member of the same workspace when responsibility for managing it changes. To transfer ownership:

1. Open More actions on the app’s row.
2. Click Transfer ownership.
3. Choose the new owner. Only workspace members with an Owner, Admin, or Editor role appear. Members with a Viewer role are not eligible.
4. Leave Keep the current owner as a collaborator on, or turn it off. It is on by default.
5. Click Transfer.

Unpublishing apps

To unpublish one app:

1. Open More actions on the app’s row.
2. Click Unpublish.
3. Click Unpublish in the confirmation dialog.

To unpublish apps in bulk:

1. Select the apps you want to unpublish, or click Select all apps.
2. Click Unpublish.
3. Click Unpublish in the confirmation dialog.

Exporting the app inventory

Export the inventory as a CSV file to review or share workspace security data outside Security Center. To export the inventory:

1. Apply any filters you want to include.
2. Click Export inventory as CSV.
3. Select a scope:
   • All apps
   • Current filter
   • Selected apps

The export contains the apps included in the selected scope.
