api grep - Base44 Support Documentation

Search each Apps API and Workspace API operation’s path, summary, description, parameters, request body, and response with a regular expression. Use it when api search misses, for example to find every operation that sends or returns a field such as webhook_secret.

Usage

base44 api grep <pattern>

Arguments

Argument	Description	Required
`<pattern>`	A JavaScript regular expression, for example `"runs.*status"`.	Yes

Flags

Flag	Description
`--area <area>`	Search only one area’s operations. Run `api catalog` to list the areas.
`-i, --ignore-case`	Match regardless of case.
`--limit <n>`	Maximum number of operations to return. Defaults to `20`.
`--read-only`	Search only operations that can’t change anything, the ones `api fetch --read-only` lets through.
`--refresh`	Get the latest list of operations from the server instead of the copy the CLI saved, which it keeps for up to an hour. Use it when an operation that was added recently is missing.

Output

The command returns a JSON array of matching operations, or an empty array when nothing matches. Each one has an endpoint, its method and path template, and a one-line summary:
