A design system is a saved set of colors, fonts, logo, and components. Set one for your workspace, and every app your builders build matches it automatically, giving your product a consistent brand.
There’s more you can configure beyond how your apps look. Skills are the conventions the agent follows while it builds, and MCP servers are the tools it can call, both covered in Skills and MCP.
Because this is the most visible setting you have, set your design system as the workspace default before any apps are built. If you don’t, apps build with no design system at all, and they won’t match your platform’s look and feel. A workspace can hold multiple design systems, but only one can be the default at a time. Every app you create through the API uses the default design system.
