The Apps API is in beta. Its endpoints and responses may change.
These endpoints control where an app is served. Look at your work in progress with a preview, publish it to production, read the public URL, and take it offline again.

Preview and published

An app has two addresses, and they show different things.
  • Get preview URL serves the app as it currently stands in the app editor, including changes that haven’t been published. The preview runs in a sandbox that shuts down when it goes unused, so the first call after a quiet period takes noticeably longer.
  • Get published URL returns the public address of the live app. An app that has never been published, or that was unpublished, has none.

Publishing

Deploy an app publishes the app’s current version by default. To publish a saved version instead, pass its ID. Find versions with List checkpoints. To publish a site you built yourself, use Deploy a prebuilt site. Unpublish app takes the app offline. Visitors see an offline notice, and the app’s data, settings, and custom domains stay as they are.
